truffles

These are truffles that I only make for Valentine’s Day, with the exception of our first every chocolate party, and then only! This year was my best year making them, since I was more experienced than ever before! ^_^ I was glad that they turned out so well. I give them to my friends, and everyone looks forward to receiving them! They tell me that they’re really really good, and this year, I gave them to my boyfriend, Sang-June, and the next day, he told me his mom wanted the recipe! Apparently, people are most impressed. ^_^ I have posted about them here before, in my Valentine articles. Look there for the recipe!

Chocolate and Rasberry cake

This was quite a while back, a delicious chocolate cake, sachertorte, with raspberry jam as well as frozen raspberries. I love those daffodils beside it in the picture, and think it brings across that atmosphere of the chilly beginnings of spring very well. That was just when I made it. ^_^

Sachertorte

One of the pictures I took of this was my ID on facebook for a while. ^_^; I don’t often get on facebook, but I’ve been on recently enough that that’s no longer my picture.

Dunecake

I made this for my Science Fiction class, as suggested by a fellow student. Only, he suggested something like pudding and cinnamon (as the spice) and gummy worms as the giant worms. I went with cheesecake and crushed graham crackers with gummy worms. ‘Twas delicious.

creamcheese cupcake

Chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese icing were concocted for a tea party. I was very pleased with it, but my sister thought it was too cream cheese-y.

Werewolf Night

Van Gogh’s Starry Night + werewolves + cupcakes = delicious art! Allison and I made these cupcakes and then decorated them with help from an awesome book she got from the library. We mixed our own colors, so in a lot of places, we couldn’t get quite dark enough, but it wasn’t a big deal. I mixed some red in with the green to get it as dark as I did.

fancy cakeis fancy

I think it was a white chiffon cake? Maybe… with jam inside! ^.^ And butter cream icing, I would guess, but it might have been cream cheese icing.

Slice

cakeSo, a while back, I made this chocolate cake and covered it with mint icing, both made with recipes from allrecipes.com, which I love. The cake probably should have cooled a little longer before I spread the icing, and it could have been cut better for the layers to sit on top of each other better, too. It turned out being pretty delicious, but next time, I might find a recipe that has the mint and chocolate inside the cake rather than chocolate cake and mint icing. Just my personal tastes there.

parfait

So, they’re hard to see, but Katie and I made these sort of chocolate parfait-ish things. There’s a layer of berries and chocolate, and then a layer of just chocolate over top. Mine on the left is raspberry, and hers on the right is blueberry, and both were delicious! The things on the plate are raspberries mixed with chocolate and frozen in moulds.

chocolatesYou can see the seeds of the berries in the chocolate… ^_^; Our attempt at artful plating! Admire it!

More of the same

So, more leftovers for lunch. The same noodles and all with some toast and egg, and dumplings and tamagoyaki. I love those little apple gummies! They’re so attractive, and very delicious! They taste just like apple juice. ^_^

I forgot to show yesterday’s bento! Dumplings, noodle sandwich, and tamagoyaki. Sound familiar?

noodle sandwichThese are the last of my lunches for now, I believe. However, rather than ending posts, I will be bringing photos of desserts of the past! I’ve made a bunch of cakes, chocolates, and various desserts in the past and taken pictures, so I’ll be talking about those. I hope you’ll stick with me!

Stirfry noodles

So, I made more noodles than I thought… We have way more than necessary… ^_^;

Noodles from the Grand Asia Market (Chicken Noodles, it says…)
Cabbage
Onion
Carrots

More vegetables would be a good idea.

Tamagoyaki 2I tried making tamagoyaki for the second time, and it improved SOOO much! I was so impressed with myself!

DSC08434Attempt number 2 was such a big step up! It looks beautiful this time.
